One year and counting!
Our wedding was August 28, 2010 from 4:15 to 10:00 pm at the Mountain Mermaid in Topanga, CA. The ceremony was outdoors and the reception indoors. Read about the engagement!
When you receive your invitation, you'll see your dinner choices as surf, turf, or vegetarian (earth?). At the time we printed the invitations, we had not yet selected our final entreés. But, with our menu tasting now complete, we're happy to describe the delicious (and organic, seasonal, sustainable, and mostly local!) food you can expect.
Surf - Bronzed Scottish Salmon with Avocado Puree, Basil Butter & Corn Cakes, Fried Tomatillo and Coriander Crème Fraiche
Turf - Beer Braised Boneless Short Rib on a Grilled Apple with Horseradish–Potato Puree & Crispy Shallots
Vegetarian - Goat Cheese Stuffed Artichoke with Sauteed Greens and Corn Cakes
The Mountain Mermaid is located in Topanga Canyon, about halfway between the California coast and the San Fernando Valley (where Audrey grew up and our hotel blocks are). This is roughly the northwest edge of Los Angeles.

There will be valet parking for all guests at the Mountain Mermaid. Please don't park on the surrounding streets, as we'll be in a residential neighborhood.
Also, as you'll see, Topanga Canyon is a winding canyon road. This makes for a fun drive to the wedding, but demands a sober drive back. Do yourself and others a favor and please designate a driver!!
We think the best option for an afterparty is for guests to go to bars that are within walking distance of the Holiday Inn, so they don't have to drive out of Topanga Canyon too late or too drunk. Pickwick's Pub is a pub and Haldi Root is a Indian restaurant that has an upscale bar inside the restaurant. Both are great options.
