3 parts Bourbon whiskey
2 parts fresh lemon juice
1 part Gomme syrup
dash egg white (optional)

Shake with ice. Strain into ice-filled old-fashioned glass rimmed with sugar and serve on the rocks.

Garnish with maraschino cherry and orange slice
